The To Do List
May 6, 2008 by Wendy Cooper
One the way home from Arlington on the weekend, I started making a to-do list of stuff we need for the cabin. I thought I would post it here. One of the wonderful things of Saskatoon are XS Cargo, Liquidation Supercentre, and Dollarama. The first two are liquidation outlets while Dollarama sells everything for $1. Also the Salvation Army Community Centre had a garage sale to clear out their Dock and we bought a couple of things from there.
Paint four chairs chocolate brown| About 100 of these were donated to the Salvation Army Community Centre for their garage sale last weekend. Jordon bought four and we are painting them chocolate brown for kitchen chairs. They look pretty good.Dish set (green and blue)from XS CargoCutlery| Generally when I need cutlery, I can’t find it cheap to save my life but this time was different. I got a nice set for next to nothing.Cappuccino and Espresso Machine| We were give a nice one almost a decade ago but have never used it or gotten rid of it. It could get some use at the lake. Of course we need to figure out how to use it…GlassesBeddingandpillows| $1 a pillow at ZellersA retro looking Coffee Maker| This was at XS Cargo as well and quite cool looking.- Toaster Oven
- Queen size air mattress | We need to sleep on something when we head up there.
Microwave| Jordon bought a brand new microwave for $10.Containers for coffee, tea, sugar, pasta, rice, flour, pancake mix, cereal| Again, Dollarama comes through. Everything is a $1 there. Yes it is all made in China and I am contributing to the Canadian trade deficit with China but let’s not think about that right now.Towels| For some reason we had a bunch alreadySpice containers(9) Dollarama- Candles and
holders| We are still debating what to get but Jysk has some cool stuff so we will see what transpires. - First Aid Kit - bandages, Advil, Tylenol, Suntan lotion, bug spray
Flashlights| Like we wrote, the bathroom is a short walk away and I don’t want to get lost. I found a cool solar powered flashlight that lasts four hours on one charge. Jordon still wants a compact Mag Light though.- Replacement batteries | Mark + Flashlights = Replacement batteries
- Fishing rods | Mark and I want to learn how to fish. Sadly I may have to learn how to do this as well.

Plastic hangers- 3 large Rubbermaid containers (bedding, sports, cleaning supplies)
