The emerging church can learn a lot from the world of helicopters. Prior to Larry Bell (Bell Helicopters), aerial assault was largely done by glider. Larry Bell changed warfare.

He did it by parties. Larry Bell's parties in Washington, DC, were legendary. Although they happened in the forties and fifties, I still heard aerospace people talk about them well into the eighties. The right people, the right atmosphere, and the right frequency of happening led the army to change tactics and buy these cost-ineffective devices. But, over time, Army feedback led to positive images (MASH) and finely tuned (Huey) combat machines.

There are a few (expensive) books about the history of Bell Aircraft, floating around, perhaps a library might have them. Does Canada do interlibrary loan? Toronto, Hamilton, Niagara Falls and Fort Erie would be where to troll.

And, what would life be without <a href="http://www.harborfreight.com/manuals/95000-95999/95125.pdf" rel="nofollow"> Harbor Freight </a> :)
