Spring Break
February 24, 2008 by Wendy Cooper
Mark was off this last week. He got the same virus that Jordon and I caught and spent most of the week sick but he did manage to go swimming and Jordon bought him Star Wars: Battlefront for his PS2 on Saturday. Mark was so excited to go home and play it that he somehow forgot he was shopping in the same mall I work in and never stopped by to say hello (to their credit they did stop by on the way in but I was on break and couldn’t be paged).
The first thing that Mark said to me was he was so excited that he had “the same game as Dad does”. Jordon has Renegade Squadron for his PSP. He also mentioned that he could play as “Baba Fatt“. Jordon almost cried when he had to correct him.
Today Jordon took him hockey stick shopping at Sport Chek. Mark shoots left as opposed to right and was quite offended when Jordon said, “you shoot the wrong way” and kept calling him, “Nogoalov“. It didn’t help that Jordon kept hooking him with it all through Midtown Plaza.
The other highlights of the weekend were patching a concrete basement wall that has some water leaking through it. It did some damage to the parging on the basement wall. It’s about as fun as it sounds and we did the preliminary work this week and need to do a finish coat tomorrow (we ran out of patching solution). This spring we are re=grading the side of the house to make sure it doesn’t happen again so if you are in the neighborhood with a wheelbarrow and shovel….
