Ten years ago Jordon and I were married at the Saskatoon Free Methodist Church. I wish I could say it was a magical wondrous day but in hindsight, I wish we had eloped although I don’t regret having Jordon’s family there, mine should have been sent back to their hotel for a “timeout” until the wedding was over.
Since then we have had our ups and down and I am not the easiest person to be married to but Jordon has stood beside me even when I have given up on me and we made it this far. Still, he still loves me which is a big thing.
As for today, it wasn’t the most romantic of days. Jordon managed to get food poisoning while at work last night and was in horrible shape by the time he came home. Throwing up, fever, chills and then repeat all night. He got up for a meeting today and called in sick for work and slept for about 10 hours today so we will see if we can do anything more enjoyable tomorrow. Until then he is nursing a Canada Dry ginger ale and is in a Gravol induced coma like state.
Since it was our “tin and aluminum” anniversary, Jordon gave me a great locket which may or may not have been made of tin but it looks old and I like it. He also gave me a copy of Brennan Manning’s Raggamuffin Gospel which I am sending along with him to Soularize next week to have signed by Manning. I gave Jordon a copy of Bruxy Cavey’s new book, The End of Religion.

(We were away, so I’m just catching up and read this post).
Firstly - happy anniversary (we were away celebrating our 5th which come up in a couple of weeks).
Secondly, I *LOVED* the Ragamuffin Gospel and the follow up Ruthless Trust. I also thought Abba’s Child was a life changer too…and you say that Jordon is going to meet Manning? That would be cool.
Hope you are well and God answers your prayers about the Bahamas (ie. your more recent post).
