Shrek the Third

On Tuesday night, Jordon and I took Mark to the Roxy Theatre to see Shrek the Third.  It was my first time at the Roxy and we were in the big theatre and it is gorgeous.  I understand why Jordon enjoys taking Mark there on his day off.

After we got there, the experience went downhill.  First of all I managed to drop my LARGE Coke all over my feet and sandals which prompted quite a laugh from Mark and Jordon.  It could have been worse as there could have been someone sitting in front of us so I got lucky that way.

After that the movie started and it was really bad.  There were so many scenes where it could have been funny but really wasn’t.  Mark didn’t even laugh that much.  For us, it may have been a franchise killer.

Later when Mark was asked which movie he liked better, Shrek or Surf’s Up, he said he liked them both.  Surf’s Up was really funny but Shrek was in the nicer theatre and I dropped my Coke which was pretty funny which helped save the movie for him I guess.

I am glad the movie only cost us $2 a person because I am not sure if it was worth more than that.

I’m glad to hear others share our experience with Shrek the Third. Alas…

Looks like I can write off Shrek III! Off to see Amazing Grace next Tuesday. It;ll cost $9 a head I believe. I’ll let you know how it goes. It’s the true story of William Wilberforce who abolished slavery I believe.
