Missing School Can Be Good For You

Today Jordon and I had a day off together and we wanted to get away. We decided to go and have lunch up at a mostly abandoned Waskesiu in Prince Albert National Park. The place doesn’t come alive for about a month and it was a nice and quiet way to spend a day.

We took both Mark and Maggi along and Mark had to miss school. While discussing whether or not to take Mark out of school for the day, Jordon brought up that it is someday good to miss school. I asked him in what situations could it possibly be good to not be in school. He offered up the following days.

• It might be good if Mark missed Racism is Good day.
• You don’t want him at the seminar for how Grand Theft Auto teaches real life family values.
• Missing Gangster Rap should shape your day class might be good to miss.

I had to agree, all three days would be good for Mark to miss school that day.
