Cold…

Karen sums up the weather out west very well. Here it is similar with a lot of snow and cold weather. Last night I got off work before Jordon did and went out and shovelled the front walk. By the time I went to get Jordon, it had started to drift back in. Some of the residents at the Salvation Army will ask Jordon to go out with them as they have a smoke, he was giving them a hard time that he is a fair weather second hand smoker and it was too cold. Last night when I finally picked him up, we observed that it was nice out and he retorted, “What kind of twisted place do we live in when -20 is considered nice out?” Good point. He thinks that Social Services should issue bus passes to everyone in the province with a trip to B.C. and we can reconvene in Saskatchewan in March.
Jordon and I are spending our only day off together for two weeks cleaning house, weeding through libraries, and getting some Christmas tasks done. The big discussion of the day is whether or not we should get an artificial tree. In the chapel at the Salvation Army is a gorgeous artificial tree that I saw the other day and I think if we could find one that nice, I would get it. I never saw it but I am told there is another artificial tree there that is so ugly, it will make you hate Christmas :-) Well, back to enjoying the cold, I have things that need to be tossed out.

As a Minneapolis Native I can relate to this - I guess we live for spring!
