Mother’s Day
May 14, 2006 by Wendy Cooper
Happy Mother’s Day everyone. It is a hectic day around here but in some ways strangely relaxed. This is the first Mother’s Day that doesn’t involved me going to Spiritwood or working at Safeway. This morning I got up, took all the hot water in my shower because it is my day put on a nice summer dress. Mark had a rough lead up to Mother’s Day. Hutch wrecked his school project for me and he lost a card he made for me. Last night Jordon let him stay up late while he cut and folded and made me a Mother’s Day paper airplane. Jordon had taken some photographs of Mark that he had kept a secret from me and had some of those photos blown up and framed as a gift. In a little while we are walking down to Poverinos for a Mother’s Day lunch. I know the tradition is brunch but there isn’t a lot of brunch places other than Smitty’s which I am not that fond of.
Later this afternoon we are taking Jordon to the John Diefenbaker International Airport (YXE for those of you who care about those things) as he is flying to Toronto later tonight for a couple of days.

Hope you enjoyed your mother’s day!! I’m sure Mark was crushed to have what he made destroyed by the dog…but his response and efforts to make you something else just show how special you are to him
