Maggi
December 30, 2005 by Wendy Cooper
Yesterday we went out to the SPCA to look at some dogs. They had some labrador puppies out there and we were curious about those. When we walked into the kennel with the dogs, there was a tan Labrador Retriever that we later found out was mixed with a Weimeraner. She was really, really thin and had been brought in as a stray over a month ago. While all the other dogs were going nuts barking at us, this one just sat there and looked at us. We took her into a viewing room and she was all over the place but responded when Jordon raised his voice. Despite the fact that we didn’t want another lab (this is the second I have owned and the fourth that Jordon has had), we brought her home and named her Maggi.
Despite pulling Jordon off his feet last night when she got brought into the house, she settled down right away. I took her for a walk last night and she didn’t pull so is obviously leash trained. When we crawled into bed, Maggi jumped on the bed with us and took over half of the bed. That wasn’t going to work and we set up a bed for her on the floor where she slept deeply all night. This morning Mark and her played fetch for a while and now she is sleeping at Jordon’s feet. We will see how it all turns out.

Oops! I see I have been commenting on the posts below the ones I have been intending to. So, if you have been confused as to the context of my comments, that should help.
In regards to Maggi, sounds lovely. A good mix, from what I understand. Keep us posted.
Peace,
Jamie
Hope all continues to go well for you… one of us might as well have a good experience!
