Merry Christmas to all and someone finish off the turkey

I hope everyone is having a nice day. We awoke around 9:00 a.m. and all came downstairs and broke open our stockings.
In Lee’s stocking, he got the worst DVD of all time, William Shatner’s Spplat Attack (yes it is actually spelled like that and even more oddly, check out the reviews on Amazon.com, they are all strangely positive) which we had a good laugh at. The DVD was originally a pay per view of a paint ball game of a bunch of Trekkies. I can’t believe that people would pay to watch this.
A second later he had the funniest look on his face when we opened a box from Jordon that was a mug that said, “The Ruby” on it. Jordon said, “Flip it around idiot” and on the other side, it had the Corner Gas logo on it but for a second Lee was like, “Why did they get me a mug that says, “The Ruby” on it.
We bought Mark a tobaggon for Christmas and it was set up beside the tree. Lee and Jordon kept saying, “Look what Santa brought you” and Mark didn’t notice this huge sled parked in front his face. Later he was thrilled with it because it doubles as a ramp for his Hot Wheels cars and is the same color as the suitcase of cars that Reimers got him. Mark also got a video game consol of old Atari era games and a race track. Lee also got him a copy of The Incredibles which we all watched and laughed at this morning. I can’t say enough about the movie, it was really good.
Santa bought me a fleece jacket, Jordon got me a book by Anne Lamott, Mark got me a mortar and pestle and Lee got me a Future Shop gift certificate.
I bought Jordon a copy of Stanley Hauwerwas’s book, Cross-Shattered Christ: Meditations on the Seven Last Words and Mark bought him a copy of Bastards and Boneheads which at first glance could be a book about our families but is actually a book about Prime Minister’s of Canada. Jordon is already disagreeing with the ranking of a couple of them.
I notice that Jordon had mentioned that I was working at Safeway last night. I told him that it always slows down towards the mid-afternoon but yesterday it did not. People were trying to get in after we had closed. It was nuts all day. It felt so good to get home alive. Last night we watched Star Wars for about the millionth time. I can’t believe that despite all of the times I have seen it, there is always something that makes me laugh again or something that I don’t remember, it was fun.
We have Christmas supper to prepare for so enough blogging and more cooking. Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Wendy!
Happy Holidays!
When you’re done with the new Lamott book, may I borrow? I’ve never heard of that one!
