Mark’s Right to Privacy
October 19, 2005 by Wendy Cooper
Jordon and I have been having a discussion about Mark’s right to privacy and a lot of that centers around our Flickr account. Before digital photography, we all had photo albums that would be shown to friends and family, even if they didn’t want them to be. Since then, we now have tools like flickr that allow us to post thousands of pictures online for anyone to see. Now that Mark is heading into school, he has a right to be protected from Google a little bit and having his pictures private. I haven’t deleted any of them but I have made the pictures of Mark private so that they can be seen only by friends and family of Jordon and I. If you are signed into Flickr, and are a friend or family of Jordon and I, you should be able to see all of the photos and won’t even notice anything. If you don’t see any photos of Mark, just e-mail me at wendycooper AT gmail DOT com with your free Flickr account name and I will add you to the list of people who can check out the photos. Now Mark will still have his photoblog but that is just photos that he is taking and doesn’t run the risk of violating his privacy. If you have any questions or comments, let me know in the comments.
