More on crocodiles

A bunch of you have commented and e-mailed about the “crocodile incident”.
At the Resonate Journal launch party, Linea Lanoie was there with Patrick. Later on that night, Linea’s husband joined the party at O’Shea’s. Carol and I took our kids to the Centennial fireworks while the gang moved downstairs. From Jordon’s account Leo told some stories of both snakes and crocodiles and an American military officer who went swimming in a lake that had a reported 40,000 crocodiles in it.
That got Jordon reading all sorts of stuff online about crocodiles, the Congo, the chances of being eaten by a crocodile in Saskatchewan (slim to none). A couple of weeks ago we were hanging out and a documentry came on about crocodiles and how they hunt in packs. They were attacking zebras as they went across a river. During the documentry, Hutch had climbed up on Jordon and was being pet. As Jordon got into what we were watching, Hutch moved behind him and was sleeping on the back of the couch. Just as the crocodiles were attacking, the music was tense, the zebras were fighting for survival (a kick of a zebra can break a crocodiles jaw), Hutch put his paw on Jordon’s head and Jordon jumped and yelled which scared both Hutch and I.
So now in addition to a fear of chickens, Jordon now hates crocodiles.
