Recently I decided to turn back on the comments on my site and for the most part, the comments have been pretty constructive. There has been some comments from people that a part of my past and my family, both signed and anonymous.
Without going into any details, my relationship fell apart with my family seven years ago and despite efforts to fix things, too many things have happened to save them. Last Easter, things came to the point where I was advised by several people to cut ties with the family and many in my family have expressed joy that I am not around. As Anne Lamott has said, while I forgive them, I don’t really want to have lunch with them either.
The comments are either by family members that have never been told the entire story and never have asked me or people that have professed their hatred for both Jordon and I.
I don’t talk very much about my past here and I don’t plan to in the future. If you are a person that at one time considered yourself family, I just want to be left alone and the chances of us running into each other in the future are non-existent. I am not part of your family any more and I don’t be a part of that in the future. Maybe finding another weblog to read is in all of our best interests. That is all.
